Games for the Kids!

1)Guess how many candies are in the Jar?

2)Snowball Race

You’ll need:

  • Styrofoam balls or balls of white yarn
  • Spoons and mittens for each team

Directions:

  • Play this game as you would any relay race: divide into teams.
  • Each player takes turns putting on mittens and balancing a “snowball” on a spoon while racing to the other side of the room.
  • Drop the snowball into a bucket, return to the team, pass the mittens and go to the back of the line.
  • First team to complete the race wins!

3) Pin the Nose on Rudolph (or a snowman, Santa, elf, etc.) Although this may not be one of the most popular Christmas games for adults, this is a fun game for young children. Get a piece of cardboard and draw Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer’s face on it. Don’t draw Rudolph’s red nose, however. Instead, cut out several red circles and put a piece of tape on the back of each one. Give each player a red circle “nose” and then blindfold players as they try to pin the nose on Rudolph’s face. Whoever pins his nose closest to the correct spot wins. If Rudolph isn’t your favorite character (or you think he is too hard to draw), you can make this game based on a snowman, Santa or any other Christmas character.

4) Christmas Scavenger Hunt This is another good party game for young children-and adults will enjoy this too. Create a list of Christmas-themed objects that guests must hunt for either indoors or outdoors. Some items could include a specific color Christmas ornament, a candy cane, a Christmas story book, a piece of mistletoe, etc. The first person to find all of the items on the list wins.

5) Musical Chairs
